Nymeo Federal Credit Union 2026 Annual Meeting Notice
 

Pursuant to the Nymeo Federal Credit Union (“Nymeo”) bylaws, formal notice is hereby given this 13th day of February, 2026, to the general membership of Nymeo for the upcoming Annual Meeting.

The Annual Meeting will be held on Wednesday, April 29, 2026 at 10:00 a.m., at the headquarters office of Nymeo located at 5210 Chairmans Ct., Frederick, MD 21703. All members in good standing are welcome to attend the annual meeting in person. Doors will open at 9:45 a.m. and the meeting will begin promptly at 10:00 a.m. Light refreshments and beverages will be served.

Registration is required for the in-person attendance. Nymeo members can register by completing the form below, contacting Nymeo at 240-436-4066 or emailing annualmeeting@nymeo.org. Please RSVP by March 31, 2026.

There are two (2) Directors who have an expiring term on the Board of Directors as of the date of the Annual Meeting, Jeanice Brown Thomas and Elizabeth Duffy. These two (2) Directors have been nominated by the Nominating and Recruitment Committee to continue to serve on the Board of Directors. The election for any open positions on the Board of Directors will not be conducted by ballot and there will be no nominations from the floor when the number of nominees equals the number of Directors who have an expiring term.

Gloria Solomon, Board Member

Jeanice Brown Thomas

Jeanice Brown Thomas is a Research Scientist who recently retired from NIST after working almost 44 years. She is a current Board member and also previously served on the Supervisory Committee of the Credit Union. During her career as a scientist, Jeanice was involved in organic analytical research with emphasis on environmental, clinical and food analysis. She was the Program Manager for the NIST Micronutrients Measurement Quality Assurance Program for over 20 years. Her responsibilities included conducting measurements in support of vitamin analysis for more than 40 laboratories worldwide. Jeanice has authored/co-authored over 100 scientific publications and has given over 80 technical and non-technical talks. She has a variety of interests that range from health/nutrition issues and STEM outreach to taking nature walks. Jeanice is the author of memoirs: "Breaking through Barriers: The Journey" where she describes her childhood experiences during the civil rights movement and the desegregation of schools in Virginia and "Breaking through Barriers: The Journey Continues,” which describes challenges that she experienced during college through her career as a scientist. In addition to her memoirs, Jeanice has also published children’s books: “I am Different. I am Loved” and “I Want to be a Scientist,” in English and Spanish. Jeanice has a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and an MBA in Business Management. She also served as the Acting Chair of the NIST Internal Review Board.

Elizabeth Duffy

Elizabeth Duffy recently retired from her role as the Executive Director of Dual Enrollment for Frederick Community College after over 30 years in public education. She is a current Board member. Since her retirement, she enjoys volunteering for several local organizations and spending more time with her family. Elizabeth’s academic background includes being a graduate from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a B.A. in English Education in 1991. While teaching, she earned her M.A. in Curriculum and Instruction from Towson State University in 1996. Elizabeth also earned her Administration and Leadership certification from Hood College in 2005.
